Alex Webb is an actor/writer/director. His first film as writer/director was "The Girl in 2C" which won a silver medal at the Houston WorldFest Film Festival. His next award-winning film "Hove (The Wind)", starring Oscar-winner Olympia Dukakis and Shirleyann Kaladjian, was an official selection of the Montreal, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Boston and Cleveland International Film Festivals. He was awarded the Panavision New Filmmaker award. His feature-length screenplay "Welcome to LA" won honorable mention for Best Screenplay at Cinequest. His new play "Amelia", set during the Civil War, received critical acclaim in its World Premiere in Washington DC in 2012 has been produced at a number of theaters across the country, winning awards, and is in development as a feature film. To The Flame, his first feature film, is completed and will be released in early 2017.
