Alexia played a leading role in the 2016 Oscar nominated short film, Day One. Her role was Naheed, an Afghan woman whose home is invaded by soldiers while she faces a medical emergency. The film has been nominated for an Artios Award for excellence in casting and won numerous awards including the 42nd Annual Student Academy Award for Best Narrative Feature, Student Emmy for Best Drama, and BAFTA for best short film.
