She was hired by Pan Am Airlines when she was 22 years old, and moved to New York to start her career. She began studying acting while working as a flight attendant. She worked as a model and got her first acting job for National Lampoon's album, as well as appearing on the cover of National Lampoon Magazine. She lived in New York until moving to Los Angeles to continue her acting career, where she appeared in various sketch shows and sitcoms.
