Annie Caitlin Milligan was born March 23, 1992 in Berkeley, California to Jeanne (nee Bates), a lawyer, and Charles, a Medicaid expert. Her family moved to Albuquerque, NM when she was 2 and then finally to Takoma Park, MD when she was 9. She has one younger brother. Annie is of Irish, Italian, Scottish and German descent. At an early age she showed enthusiasm for the arts: ballet, gymnastics, painting, drawing and entertaining. In middle school and as a teenager, her love of story-telling kept her immersed in theatre. After graduating high school and at the age of 18, Annie made her way to Los Angeles on a scholarship to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she received her Associate's degree and went on to perform in their company the following year.
