Artemisia Ashton was born on November 12, 1998 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Mary and Brent Ashton. Her sister is Mia Ashton. From a young age Mesa had shown a strong affinity towards the medical field but it was as she grew that she found she had a deep love for the arts. She began her theater career at the age of twelve as the role of the Beggar Lady in Sweeney Todd and her passion grew from there. Artemisia hadn't considered movie acting until she was cast as Abby, one of the leads in "Black Hole Sun" directed by Tim Gaer and Steven Lamorte. Artemisia is currently attending college at Bucknell University where she is majoring in both Biology and Theatre. She plans on attending medical school after graduation but continues to keep an eye open for more acting opportunities so that she may continue doing what she loves.
