Arthur Nersesian was born and raised and New York City and has written about it in plays, novels and poetry. He taught English at various locations including a homeless shelter in Crown Heights and a labor union. For ten years he taught ESL at Hostos Community College in the South Bronx. He was also the Managing Editor of the literary journal, The Portable Lower East Side.
