Born in Harlem, New York; Assibey son to Ghanaian immigrant & African-Indian mother. Raised in Plainfiled, Nj and has been in New Jersey school system until college. He attended "The Conservatory for Dramatic Arts " in New York City & gained a bachelor's degree in Film & Television.To add to his work he is also an, Producer and Asst. Director at CutRush Creative Labs. An Independant film company, That has produced many shorts, commercials, music videos, & respectively been entered and mentioned in prestigious film festivals. Co-creator of "Brooklyn Theater" a program developed to reach and develop young actors minds, and allow them express themselves and blossom.Recent work includes, "Bros.", "Scallywag;" produced & directed by CutRush Productions, "Law & Order, Blue Bloods, and The Following, Power." He has also appeared in many other TV shows, stage plays, & movies.Assibey has been privileged to not only work in film & television he has also worked for one of the most creative marketing icons in fashion & hip hop. David Watkins, original GM of Source Magazine, CFO of Vibe Magazine & Uptown Magazine and also has been the forerunner in fashion. With that being said, Assibey has worked side by side with David over 10+ years. Most recently as a marketing ex. for a beauty line of hair care products; "Twisted Sista." As well was apart of the praised production team who set dressed & designed, "Open Ceremony" for fashion week in 2013. Assibey has hosted parties, events, night clubs, & has had very positive years speaking at the New Jersey Masonic State Conference, regarding his new success and future endeavors. 2012 was a highlight year for Assibey where he along with his mentor David Watkins put together Chris Brown's listening tour for his coming of age album, which began the ball rolling towards a Grammy award wining year.
