Bertha Leal
Bertha Leal (born October 20, 1985) is a Cuban actress. Her first major role was as a lead cast member in INTAR Theatre's Off-Broadway production of "Lucy Loves Me." Raised in Miami, Leal earned her BFA degree from Florida International University where she acted in various productions, including the solo performance "Katharine Hepburn: The Best Man for the Job" which she wrote, starred, and directed. She made her South Florida stage debut in The Alliance Theatre Lab's "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" (2009), for which she received the critical acclaim of local newspapers. Along with the short-film "Hard-Bitten" Leal has also written "Danny Boy," a screenplay produced in 2008, and a full-length play "Detours" (2010). Bertha resides in New York City actively pursuing a career in theater, film, and television.
