Since then, he has made history as the first Korean male figure skater to medal at events such as the Junior Grand Prix series, JGP final, Grand Prix series, Grand Prix final & 4 Continents. Along the way, he has become a key player in Korean figure skating by accumulating various historical records & achievements.
