Chella Ferrow was born in Cape Town and grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of twelve a role as Hermia in A Midsummer's Night Dream and the political plays at the local market theater cemented her devotion to acting. She holds a degree in Psychology and English from Wits University and completed post-graduate study at the Drama Studio London. Based in New York City, her work as a professional actress and fashion model has appeared widely for such top clients as Saks Fifth Avenue, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vogue Magazine, and in television's most popular shows, including Law & Order, Ugly Betty, and Gossip Girl. Most recently, she was honored to play "Sussie" in the film adaptation of African Gothic, an iconic, courageous, and healing apartheid work by the beloved South African playwright, Reze de Wet.
