Christy was born and raised in upstate New York. She fell in love with theater early, performing on stage at only 3 years old. She went on to study acting and dance. Christy was cast as the lead in the National Tour of Beauty & The Beast. Christy graduated from The University at Albany with a B.A. in Communications and an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies. She studied improv and comedy with Upright Citizen's Brigade and The Groundlings. The New York State Theater Institute produced 12 Angry Men and decided to open up gender in their casting process. Christy booked the role of Juror 5. After casting several other females in traditionally male roles, they appropriately changed the title to 12 Angry Jurors for the run of the show. She was then cast as Janice opposite Melissa Leo, in Predisposed, which was an Official Selection of the Sundance Film Festival. Christy resides in Los Angeles and spends her free time volunteering for The Young Storytellers Foundation and The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.
