After starting in production in the 1980s (he produced one French film and two Russian ones), Constantin Alexandrov gradually gave up the former activity for an acting career. Between 1985 and 2008 he played in 15 movies, some made by important directors (Luc Besson, Costa-Gavras), one or two being international productions (Gorillas in the Mist: The Story of Dian Fossey (1988)), but always in secondary roles and without giving any memorable performances. Let's note in passing that between 1992 and 2004 he was the pet of director Claude Lelouch, for whom he appeared in no fewer than five of his films.
