Dan Butler is a visual effects artist known for his work on Friend of the World, The Phantom Hour (2016), Hatred (2015), and John's Big Day (2017). His interest in film began in the late 90s while in high school when he created Fan-Made Music Videos (2000). From 2004-2012, he worked as a background actor on location in Los Angeles and San Diego. Projects included numerous music videos such as Weezer: Beverly Hills (2005), TV shows Veronica Mars (2004) and Terriers (2010), and the feature film The Death and Life of Bobby Z (2007).
