Farber was born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. He studied film at DePaul University while producing and assistant directing projects ranging from feature length motion pictures, short films and web-series before he started to direct music videos.He spent four months in the fall of 2016 interning for Parks and Rec star Adam Scott at his production company, Gettin' Rad in West Hollywood before returning to Chicago to pursue a career in acting. He is Meisner trained through the Chicago studios The Artistic Home and Blackbox.
