David Wm Gray was born July 26, 1947 in Maysville, Kentucky, and grew up in Ripley, Ohio. He married Linda Stivers August 23, 1969. They have two sons and three grandchildren. David juggled acting with a career in education until retiring from teaching in 1998.David earned his SAG card when Michael Apted cast him in the featured role of Doc Turner in the Loretta Lynn biographical picture, "Coal Miner's Daughter".
