Born in 1952 in New Delhi, India. He is an internationally known photographer and won early acclaim for his coverage of the Gandhi family and his five-year report on the worst chemical accident in history in Bhopal. Traveled out of Toronto, Canada for 12 years, producing work from the USA, Russia, and China. Based in New Delhi, he works documenting the effects of widespread modernization on Asian society. A member of Contact Press Images since 1977.
