Graduating from Griffith University, studying Screen Production, Dru moved to Asia and worked on various Asian and international productions for The History Channel, HBO, MGM and others.After two years of gaining experience, Dru Returned to Australia to pursue a career as a director.Moving between bases, a period of short narrative work, including commercials, and several music videos for U.S based artists including Snob Scrilla, Pacewon, Mr Green and Freeway ensued.2010 Ozploitation film Sleeper, starring WWE wrestler Raven and Bruce Hopkins (Lord Of The Rings), became Dru's first feature production as Director.Dru's latest film, The Suicide Theory, in which he served as Producer and Director won the Grand Jury Prize at the L.A film festival, Dances With Films in 2014. Becoming the first international film to do so in the 17 year history of the festival.It also played opening night at the 2014 Austin Film Festival, winning the Dark Matters Audience Award.It also won 3 awards at the 2014 Melbourne Underground Film Festival (Including the Jury Prize).
