Elena Kornilova was born and raised in Lensk, a small town in Siberia (Russia). There as a teenager she first started to act in school productions in English. Also she was a host of the teen's TV-show on a local TV-channel. Then she moved to Moscow and graduated from MSU, the highest ranked Russian university, as a journalist. Elena speaks fluently Russian, some German and Spanish. During her study she attended acting classes and won several singing contests with songs from the musicals and original ones. Recently moved to Los Angeles to continue studying the acting craft with well-known teachers like Sean Barnes, Peter Frisch, Paul Brown, Ilia Volok. Elena Kornilova is portraying Jenny in «The Red Velvet» short film that will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival this spring 2016.
