Eric Fryer
Eric Fryer is a Canadian actor born in Scarborough, Ontario. He is best known for his leading role in HBO's docudrama Terry Fox: Le coureur de l'espoir (1983), where Fryer played the activist and marathon runner Terry Fox famous for his personal marathon crossing Canada to raise awareness on cancer research after losing a leg due to the disease. Like Fox, Fryer also used a prosthetic leg after losing his real leg due to cancer. He won a Genie Awards as Best Actor in a Leading Role for his memorable performance. He never returned to the screen with more roles and very little is known about him.
