Erik LaRay Harvey is an actor, known for Luke Cage (2016), Boardwalk Empire (2010) and Twister (1996). He hails from the Anacostia neighborhood in south-east Washington D.C. As a young man, his family resided in Senegal, Tanzania and Kenya because of his father's employment with Opportunities Industrialization Centers. He went on to study acting at Tisch School of the Arts in New York, where he first met Boardwalk Empire co-star Jeffrey Wright.
