The son of professional jazz musicians (father a trombone player, mother a singer), Frederick Lawrence was born in Huntington Beach, CA but had a very peripatetic, unconventional upbringing, living on both the east & west coasts and several places in between. He discovered acting while in high school in the San Fernando Valley, where he excelled in plays & competitions and was voted Drama Club President his junior & senior years. It was as a senior that he landed his first professional acting job, earning his SAG card in the process. Rick's had a career in the entertainment industry for more than half his life, working both in front of & behind the camera, and he's fortunate to have collaborated with some of the most talented people in the business. He's contributed to over 100 feature films, television programs, commercials, shorts & stage productions. In 2011 he wrote, produced and acted in the short film Lovelock, CA (2011) which garnered great reviews and premiered at the historic Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
