Giovanna is known for often playing powerful characters who are seductive, mysterious, charming, and often dangerous. She embodies an Old World mystique that is similar to many of the classic stars of Italian cinema. In fact, she is a first generation Italian American and was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a mother and father who were from Italy. She grew up speaking fluent Italian with her parents and spent every summer in Italy visiting family and friends.Giovanna started working in theater at the age of 6 and continued until she moved to New York City for college. There she received her B.F.A in Theater and Dramatic Arts. She spent years doing theatre before transitioning into film and television with her first appearance on the HBO series " The Sopranos" opposite Michael Imperioli.Giovanna is an avid marathoner, is in expert in physical conditioning, and has been a personal trainer for years. She is a passionate traveler having explored a large number of countries.
