Gregory Avellone was born in New York City and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. He attended St. Ignatius High School and then went on to study at the University of Colorado in Boulder and The Ohio State University.As an Actor he studied with Stella Adler subsequently working in several films. He then became and executive in Kevin Costner's Tig Productions. While at Tig, Mr. Avellone helped develop a string of films that have grossed over 1 billion dollars at the box office.Mr Avellone is one of the original founders of The Film Actors Studio where he directed his students in over 50 short films.Mr. Avellone is now writing and directing his own projects.
