At the age of 30, quit his job after breaking his back, spent two years on leave and finally got surgery. He then auditioned for a acting school, made the cut and started at Norwegian Acting Institute College (NSKI Høyskole) for 3 years. This was like nothing he ever had in mind, but he took on the challenges that faced him every day. And has never looked back since. He found his calling in the craft of acting.
