Hallie Elizabeth Newton is a writer of screenplays and short fiction. Born is Mississippi and a graduate of Eugene Lang College, she worked a variety of odd jobs--construction, journalist, and band roadie--before receiving her first screenplay credit for "At Any Price" starring Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid. The film would compete for the prestigious Golden Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival in 2012, and would later screen at the Telluride and Toronto Film Festival before being picked up for release by Sony Pictures Classics in 2013.Hallie resides in New York City.
