Born in New York City, raised in Virginia and a graduate of University of Tel Aviv. A theatre actress for many years, 'Bad Hurt' is Iris Gilad's film debut. Highlights of favorite theatre roles include: Carol in 'The Glory of Living,' Peg in 'Throwing Rubies' and Valentina in 'Valentino Valentina.' Iris originated the role of DeeDee in the World Premiere of Mark Kemble's play, 'Bad Hurt On Cedar Street' for which she received an Ovation Award Nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Subsequently, Mark Kemble cast her in the role of DeeDee for the feature film 'Bad Hurt' which premiered at the 2015 TriBeCa Film Festival to critical acclaim. Iris is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio.
