J.Alphonse Nicholson is an American born actor/ percussionist. He emerged in North Carolina after his debut as the lead in Howard L. Craft's "Caleb Calypso and the Midnight Marauders". Nicholson since then ,with a few films and several plays under his belt, has received national recognition for his work in theaters around the country. Most notably "Frieght: The Five Incarnations of Able Green" also written by Craft, received a New York Times critics pick. Late 2015 Nicholson made his television debut on CBS "Blue Bloods." Recent credits include; "Mr.Robot Season 2", Fox "Shots Fired", and Marvels "Luke Cage".
