J. Michael Finley was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and raised in Lebanon, Missouri. He is the 2nd of 5 Children born to Wayne and Betsey Finley. He began singing and acting in high school. He attended Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts and began his professional acting career in Chicago and surrounding areas.J. Michael Finley made his Broadway debut in Les Miserables in 2014 at the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater. He moved to New York City in 2015 where he was the understudy to Jean Val Jean in Les Miserables at the Imperial Theater. His stage credits include playing Steve in Hair (at the Paramount Theatre), Sweeney Todd (at the Drury Lane Theatre) and Louie in The Christmas Schooner (in the Mercury Theater). I Can Only Imagine is his first movie. After the production of I Can Only Imagine completed, J. Michael Finley returned to Broadway in London, playing Elder Cunningham in "Book of Mormon".J. Michael Finley enjoys watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and spending time with his new bride, Elizabeth Doran, who he married December 2nd, 2017.
