James "Jim" Dormuth was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 19 Sept, 1974 to Carole (Bailey), a nurse, and Allen Dormuth, a 7-11 franchisee. At the age of 17 Dormuth joined the United States Army serving his country with pride for over 22 years. His acting career started while stationed in Hawaii, by googling casting agents online. His first two gigs were on the hit TV series Hawaii Five-O (2010), as an airline passenger and a Security Guard. In November of 2013 Dormuth retired from the military, with a honorable discharge, and moved his wife and four children to Wertheim, Germany. While living abroad he landed a modeling role for Volvo Trucks. In 2015 Dormuth relocated his family to Las Vegas to pursue his dreams of being on the big screen. Only a few short months after settling his family Dormuth got his big break and was offered a principle role as a "Dewey Agent" for the movie Jason Bourne (2016).
