James Quinn, known as Jim, worked steadily as a model and stage actor for many years. He did numerous commercials and television guest spots. His big break came when he landed the secondary lead as Joey Sr. in 1986's Joey (1986). However, this film failed to be successful and he retired shortly after its completion to raise his daughter, Ashley.
