Sussex-based theatre actor Jamie Bannerman first burst onto the consciousness of the British public with his turn as racist skinhead leader Tarquin in the film Cash and Curry. The film went on to win the Best Film Award at the Portobello Film Festival. Comparisons with Tom Hardy have since ensued with Bannerman portraying Afghan war veteran lead Jamie Sullivan in the film Full English Breakfast.
