Janine Kirk was born December 6, 1978 in Berlin, Germany as Janine Baumgarten. She discovered her passion for acting at the age of 12 while participating in school and church theatre productions and has loved performing ever since.Janine played the lead role in the locally well known school musical Terra Futura. She earned the opportunity for her first supporting role playing Christa Lenz in the TV Mini-Series The Swine (1995) with Götz George and Marie Bäumer.Janine added modelling to her resume. She modelled in a variety of fashion shoots, such as A-POC by Issey Myake in 2001 in Berlin.In 2011, Janine moved to Alberta, Canada where she continues to purse her acting career.Calgary, Alberta is where Janine met her husband, Michael Kirk, and who she shares two children with. Besides being an actress and model, she is a dedicated stay-at-home mom and wife. She also enjoys art, baking, outdoor activities and supporting charities and causes close to her heart.
