[his advice to actors] Confidence is really the only word that I think of. You sit and you drill things over and over again, but being confident in what you're doing is really what I've learned over the last few years. How I walk into a room is going to affect how my audition goes. It's like power posing. This lady [on TED] talks about physically making yourself bigger before an interview or an audition. It releases hormones in your body and you have a different energy. It's totally helped in my auditions and everyday life and in rehearsal rooms - not being scared to fall on my ass.

[on yoga] It's made a big difference in what I do. It expands your breath support for singing, it stretches your muscles and strengthens them for dancing, and calms the mind for acting. I find it a full body experience that helps what I do on a regular basis. When young actors approach me, I often tell them it's a wonderful tool to utilize.
