Raised by his mother and grandparents on a small farm in Friendship, South Carolina, he has two older brothers. Caught the acting bug when he was selected to play Rudolph the Red-Nosed reindeer in a kindergarten play. He was a high school stand-out in basketball, football, and baseball. Graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in early childhood education and a minor in dramatic arts where he also lettered in basketball for 4 yrs. Played professional basketball in Ireland before a knee injury forced him to continue with his first love, entertaining.
