Jessica Zeylmaker is an actress.Since graduating from the Academy for Drama in Arnhem, she has played in various theatre companies. In addition she has also initiated several of her own productions. From 2008 till 2014 she was a member of the artistic team of theatre group TG Sonja by artistic director Jori Hermsen. Aside this, she also played in several Dutch television series, including Van Gogh: the Legacy, Charlie, The Secrets of Barslet, The Four of Westwijk, Godforsaken II, Cops Maastricht, The Power of Mr. Miller, Bernhard: Scoundrel of Orange, Juliana II and The Co-ed.The film Nono het Zigzag Kind (the Zigzag Kid) directed by Vincent Bal, is based on David Grossman's bestseller. The film premiered in September 2012 as the opening film at the Dutch Film Festival. she plays the role of Gaby, starring next to international celebraties such as Fedja van Huêt and Isabella Rossellini. The film has been nominated at various international film festivals including the TIFF- Toronto International Film Festival and the Berlinale - the international film festival in Berlin (2013). The film has also won numerous awards including the EFA Young Audience Award 2013 for best European Youth Movie 2013. the film was screening in 2014 in US film theatres.The Film Regret! made platinum in the Netherlands after drawing 400,000 visitors to theatres. The film won the Young Audience Award 2014 or best European Youth Movie 2014. The DVD of the film Spijt! (Regret!) by the Dutch director Dave Schram is now available at retailers.The Successful EO drama series The Van Gogh Legacy is by producer Endemol Netherlands Dutch and Dutch film sales agent Features Global Entertainment sold to seven countries.
