John McElhone
Usually called Johnny McElhone, rather than John. With Sharleen Spiteri, co-founded the band Texas. He and Sharleen write all the band's songs (sometimes with other people). He is the bassist in the band. The band, Texas, has released six albums: "Southside" (1989), "Mothers Heaven" (1991), "Ricks Road" (1993), "White On Blonde" (1997), "The Hush" (1999), and "Greatest Hits" (2000), and their singles have included: "Say What You Want", "Halo", "I Don't Want A Lover", "In Demand", "Inner Smile" and "So Called Friend". Texas performed the theme song to the show Ellen (1994), which had the same tune but different lyrics to their song "So Called Friend".
