Jzayla Hughey is an actress of African-American and Australian descent. Jzayla was born in Atlanta, USA, raised in Cairns, Australia and moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 2016 to pursue a career in the film industry. Trained by international film industry professionals, Jzayla has recently featured in numerous productions including a featured role in the upcoming Netflix TV Show, Jazz Band, starring John Cho (Star Trek 2009).Off screen, Jzayla dedicates her time to humanitarian and environmental engagements. In 2018, she traveled as an international representative of NZ, advocating for climate change prevention. Jzayla also takes pride in her fitness as well as her mental depth encouraged by her studies in a Communications degree, majoring in Screen Production and Public Relations.
