Karen Chuang grew up in Los Altos, CA, and received classical training from The Dance Company of S.F. with Chris Jacobsen and Sonya Tayeh and Teen Dance Company under the direction of Mark Foehringer. In 2008, Karen moved to Los Angeles to study at UCLA and to pursue her dance career. While in school, she was the Executive Director of UCLA's premier hip hop team, NSU Modern. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Business Economics in June 2012, and now continues to work in Los Angeles as a professional dancer. Over the years Karen has had the honor of working with the industry's top choreographers including: Nick Florez & RJ Durrell, Gil Duldulao, Tony Testa, LaurieAnn Gibson, Tyce Diorio, and Brian Friedman. Her credits include Grey's Anatomy, Glee, The White House, The Ellen Show, Willow Smith, Cher Lloyd, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday Reloaded" Tour (2012), and Kanye West's "Yeezus" Tour (2013-14). She recently danced alongside Lady Gaga at the 2013 MTV VMAs, in her "G.U.Y." music video, and on her "artRAVE: The artPOP Ball" (2014). She is a proud member of Boogiezone's contemporary company, Entity, and is represented by Clear Talent Group.
