Karrigan was born Karrigan Kate Powers in Gainesville, FL. She grew up in Central Florida, where she lived with her five siblings, two dogs, and many foster babies. Karrigan started commercial acting at seven years old. Shortly after, she entered the world of independent and short films and knew film and TV acting was for her. At the age of eight years old, Karrigan auditioned for and landed the role of Young Meg Rayburn in Netflix's "Bloodline" series. Karrigan fell in love with dance at the age of four years old. She continued to study dance taking ballet, tap, jazz, and acro from the age of five years old and began to study Pointe when she turned 11.
