Kaylin (Kay) Metchie was born in Vancouver, BC. Her love of acting and filmmaking grew out of her visits to her father on various TV sets around town. She especially loved visiting the sets of Breaker High and the New Addams Family, where she got to eat all the pop tarts her little heart desired.She eventually went to Simon Fraser University where her interest in not only acting but in the creation of theatre took hold. She participated in many black box and ensemble created projects.After university, she began working as a script supervisor on various Hallmark and Netflix series shooting in town. This is where she credits her true acting training, as she got to sit on set and watch talented actors and actresses everyday commit to the craft. After working with many amazing crews on a variety of productions, Kay knew she had to follow her dreams of being in front of the camera.
