I'm in the scalping business, but you know what? We told everyone. A lot of artists have been doing this for years behind fans' backs, taking all these backdoor deals. We look at StubHub and other places and see what they're selling them for, and we just undercut them.

I've never done songs with people just for the sake of the great combination. I've always done songs with friends. Sheryl Crow is one of them. It's just fun to sing with her. She's like a cool, gentle breeze and I'm this big snowstorm.

[on giving advice to his son Junior] He wants to get into music but I always tell him 'Don't, because you'll never be better than me'. But if he's going to do it, I want to be sure he's serious about it. He has to be ready to put in those 10,000 hours of hard work, sleep on floors, and carry amplifiers up the stairs in dirty clubs for years. One thing you don't want to be is 'just the son of Kid Rock'.

I do not believe that artists or actors and people should be out there like voicing their full-blown opinions on politics because, let's face it, at the end of the day, I'm not that smart of a guy. I play Rock 'n' Roll, that's what I do. Who would you trust to make your decisions, Donald Rumsfeld or the Dixie Chicks?

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If its marketed right, you'll buy it. But...If its real...you'll feel it.
