Laurent Bécue-Renard studied at the ESSEC school, was a Fulbright Visiting Fellow at Columbia University and graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris. During the last year of the war in Bosnia Laurent Bécue-Renard was in charge of the Internet magazine "Sarajevo on Line". He also wrote a book of stories "Chroniques de Sarajevo" (1995-96), which first appeared through "Sarajevo on Line". He directed his first docunmentary in 2001: "De Guerre lasses" shown in about forty film festivals, garnering a host of awards.
