Lawrence Valin was born on September 3, 1989 in Neuilly-Sur-Seine, France of Sri Lankan descent. He was raised by his maternal grandmother in Paris. After his two-year technical degree, he decided to give up management for acting. He pursued drama at the International Theater Workshop Blanche Salant and Paul Weaver under the direction of Blanche Salant. His acting career began in 2013 with a role in "Le Beau Monde" of Julie Lopes-Curval.
