Lorrisa graduated in 2003 with an Interdisciplinary degree (B.A. Film/Theatre) from Columbia College Chicago as their youngest graduate of record. Her plays were first published by Bakers Plays, an imprint of Samuel French, Inc., in 2002. In 2003, Lorrisa began working as a professional actor in the Chicago TV/film scene when she was signed by several agencies. In 2008, she began filming motion capture for Midway Games and later Netherrealm Studios, WB's fighting game studio in Chicago. She joined SAG-AFTRA in 2009. The summer of 2013 saw the premiere of her original multimedia musical, "Zenobia," for which Lorrisa wrote the book/lyrics and starred in as the historical warrior queen. Her non-musical drama "Made of Stars" premiered in 2015. On stage and screen, she is known best for period pieces, roles requiring accents, and stage combat roles.
