Lydia Indjova was born on August 4, 1986 in Novorossiysk, Russia. Shortly after, her family moved to Bulgaria, settling in Sofia. At the age of 18, she attended the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia where she began shooting in student short films and later in series and feature films. After her graduation in 2008, she joined the Bulgarian's Army Theatre troupe where she starred in numerous shows. In 2013, she settled in Brussels, Belgium and got noticed by the director Manu Riche for his feature film Problemski Hotel (2015). A success that opened the door for many interesting roles such as Nadja Minikof in Occupied (2015) and Zina in Phil Frisco (2021).
