Maarten Swaan, Actor, Musician and writer was born may 9th, 1980 in Middelburg, The Netherlands. He is a graduated physical therapist but in 2005 he found his way to Guatemala where he started his artistic career as a musician. For the next 5 years he would be touring with his band Melou (that he co-founded ). In 2010 he moved to Barcelona, where aside of his music got into modeling, which would support his life as a musician. The next step was commercials, and from there in 2013 he got his first role in the short movie "Poeple like us". The interest for acting became bigger and bigger and he the first courses with casting director Luci Lenox and actor coach Mel Churcher got him a step up. Next he knew he was shooting for Mateo Gil's new movie "Project Lazarus" in which he plays the physical therapist of Tom, the main character. To keep working on his acting skills he joined the Meisner classes from Javier Galito. He recently shot his first main character role in the newest series by director Marco Bazzi (IT) that will be released in the end of 2015.
