Maddox is the New York Times best-selling author of "The Alphabet Of Manliness" and infrequent blogger on his personal web site. Maddox was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah where after droppping out of college he resigned himself to a lowly career as a programmer for a telemarketing firm. In 1997 he started his personal blog taking a satirical look at his pet hates which soon blossomed into one of the most popular humor sites on the Internet. Maddox parlayed the popularity of his site into a book deal and also founded an online store that sell t-shirts and stickers based on pictures from his site, the success of this store has allowed Maddox to quit his job as a programmer and focus on new media projects full time.
