Majid's film career began when he joined Image Nation Abu Dhabi as a young intern with a passion for filmmaking. After his internship, Majid worked on the Image Nation films Sea Shadow and Djinn in various roles. From there, he moved into a production executive role working on the Image Nation local slate, and was an executive on the 2014 film, From A to B.Zinzana (aka Rattle The Cage) is Majid's debut feature film, starring Ali Suliman (Paradise Now) and Saleh Bakri (The Time That Remains). Zinzana had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX, and its European premier at BFI London Film Festival, and had rave reviews. Variety called Zinzana "A World Class Neo Noir Thriller" and The Huffington Post "Quirky, violent, beautifully shot, masterfully written and divinely cast". Zinzana was subsequently picked up by IM Global for world wide representation and Cinetic Media for United States representation. After theatrical and festival success, Variety named Majid Al Ansari "The Arab Filmmaker Of The Year" at the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival.
