Marlei Cevada was born in Nhandeara, São Paulo, Brazil, and her official name is Marlei Emília dos Santos Cevada. She studied Social Communication at College but also graduated as an actress from the Incena TV and Theater School. At first, Marlei worked both on Graphic and Performing Arts, but theater soon won. In 2006, the actress formed the group ""Quinta Q Pariu"" alongside other fellow comedians. In 2010, she joined the comedy cast of the TV show ""A Praça é Nossa"" with her characters 'Nina' and 'Sangue'. Since she was hired by SBT, she has participated in several of the broadcaster's holiday specials, as well as in soap operas such as the remakes of ""Chiquititas"" and ""Carinha de Anjo"". She also played the character Mileide in ""Domingo Legal"". In 2017, she won the Risadaria award for 'Best Character Creator' with her character 'Sangue'. Marlei works on different acting projects without ever abandoning her live acts, in which she does everything from standup comedy to musical performances while in her characters. In 2021 she participated in the reality show ""LOL: Last One Laughing Brazil"" (2021), on Amazon Prime Video.
