Matthew Aaron Nelson is a writer and an actor based in Los Angeles. A Hoosier by birth, he is a graduate of the renowned theatre program at the University of Evansville and the NY Shakespeare Festival/Public Theatre Shakespeare Lab. Nelson began his acting career in theatre and musical theatre, going on to sing opera, including leading operatic roles, in New York and Europe.A storyteller, and a bit of a Renaissance man, he is also a screenwriter who has been honored by the Nicholl/Academy Awards Fellowship for Screenwriting and the Austin Film Festival, among others. Nelson has optioned several screenplays in various stages of development.
